Description
The CTM AAP-01 Aluminium Guide Rod is an upgrade part for Action Army AAP-01 gas pistols. It sits under the barrel and guides the recoil spring that returns the slide to battery after each shot. The stock guide rod is plastic and can bend or break over time, especially with stiffer springs.
The CTM guide rod is CNC machined from 6061 aluminium and weighs only about 10 g. It is stronger than stock, does not bend and keeps the spring travelling straight. This makes the slide cycle steadier and more even, reduces vibration and extends the life of the spring and frame. Precision machining ensures an exact fit with no play.
The blue colour shows in front of the slide and gives the pistol an individual look, especially combined with other CTM parts in the same colour. The guide rod is a good choice for a full AAP-01 build for CQB and speedsoft.
