Description
The FPS Softair GMSS spring guide is an upgrade part for the gearbox of new-generation (Next Gen) Tokyo Marui electric replicas such as the Marui SCAR. It is made of ergal – a high-strength aluminium alloy used in aviation and racing parts that is light and very strong.
The guide has a bearing that lets the spring rotate freely as it compresses and releases. The spring does not twist, energy is transferred to the piston more efficiently and, according to the manufacturer, BB velocity increases by 2–3 m/s. It also reduces wear on the spring and the rear of the gearbox.
The rod is hard anodised (hard anodizing 40) for high wear resistance and a long life. Its shape is compatible with most springs on the market, so you can freely choose a spring for the power you need. We recommend installation by a workshop and checking the replica's velocity with a chronograph after changing the spring.
